PRIVACY POLICY
Project Transforming Hope Inc is a Miami nonprofit serving young people and their families. We collect only what a program needs to run, and we do not sell information about the people we serve.

What we collect
When you contact us, apply, nominate a student, or donate, we collect what that form asks for. If you are enrolled in a program, we also hold the records that program requires, including guardian consent forms and attendance.
Donations are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full payment card numbers.
Text messages (SMS)
Project Transforming Hope Inc sends two kinds of text message, and nothing else: a one-time sign-in code, sent only when you ask for one, and a portal notification.
Sign-in codes. You enter your own phone number on the member portal sign-in screen and tap the button that requests a code. That action is your consent to receive that message. One message containing a 6-digit sign-in code, per sign-in attempt you make.
Portal notifications. Enrolling in our programs creates a portal account, and portal membership includes these notifications. A notification names only the kind of thing that is waiting, never its contents, and never any young person’s name. Frequency varies with program activity; we send at most one notification text every four hours, and none when nothing new is waiting. You can turn notifications off at any time in your portal Settings; sign-in codes still work either way.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for the messages. We do not send marketing or promotional messages of any kind.
Stopping messages. Turning notifications off in portal Settings stops notification texts only. Replying STOP to any message stops all texts from our number, including sign-in codes. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the address below.
Your mobile information stays with us. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use. We share a phone number with our messaging provider (Amazon Web Services) only as needed to deliver these messages.
How we use what we collect
To run our programs, respond to you, deliver sign-in codes, process donations, and meet our reporting obligations as a nonprofit. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Young people
Our programs serve minors. Students under 18 are enrolled through a parent or guardian, and guardians sign consent for participation. A guardian may ask us at any time to review or delete their student’s information, subject to any records we are required to keep.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Keeping it safe
Information is stored on access-controlled systems and encrypted in transit.
